All around Australia there are Local Climate Action Groups. A collection of individuals concerns about our impact on climate change who meet in their local area to discuss what they can do to make a difference. Activities can vary depending on the views of each group, all ages welcome, each a small local community of caring folk.
An example of one of the many groups in Victoria is Climate Action Moreland. They have facilitated Community Festivals, run an ‘Action & Visual Art Competition‘ in schools across Victoria for the 350 campaign, participated in community protests such as ‘Switch Off Hazelwood‘ and Climate Camp ‘09 to name a few.
